Xempack is a modpack, featuring many different realistic and scientific mods. It does not and will never cover any sorts of magical or unrealistic modifications, as the goal of this modpack is, to create a unique minecraft experience which was done before at least two thousand times. If you see any other modpack with the same Idea though, they definately stole the idea from me. The player will be able to build his own technical science laboratory, saving or destroying the world. The modpack is currently at version 1.0.0 which also includes a server, allowing you to play with or against your friends. I also want to apologize for the bad english, you will see on this page, which is much to apologize. As I am german, English is not my native language. Suggesting mods is also highly appreciated. If you do so, keep in mind that the mod should be realistic and not cover any magic.

Client
You install this modpack like every other one, by simply copying the link above into the launcher. To do that, you have to download and open the TechnicLauncher first. You then have to click on the 'Add new Pack' button and paste the link in there. Then the 'Add Modpack' button should appear. Click on that and you should be done. You can now log in with your username and password while Xempack is activated. The first time launching will take a while, as you need to download the pack first.
Server
To use the Xempack server, you first have to download the XempackSV_1.0.0.zip. You then have to unzip the downloaded file, by using WinRar or 7zip. Then download the Minecraft_Server.jar (1.5.1), put it into the downloaded "Server DATA"-folder, open it with WinRAR or 7zip and put in the files from the downloaded "Server JAR"-folder. For the next step you will need a program like Hamachi (I never tried a different one, so I would recommend this one). After launching and setting up Hamachi, you will be able to see your own Hamachi-IP. Now open the 'server.txt' located in the "Server DATA"-folder that you unzipped in the first step. You will find many different options for setting up your own server. The first thing you want to change is the 'server-ip=' line, paste your IP from Hamachi behind the '='. There are other things you can change in the text file, which are mostly self-explaining. After you are finished with the settings, close the file, save the changes and run the 'run.bat'. After your world is created, you and your friends will be able to join the server, by using your Hamachi IP.
Flan's plugins
If you want to install more plugins for Flan's mod, simply download them from the Modpage and put them into your 'flan'-directory, located in the Xempack folder. To get there, open the windows start menu and search for '%appdata%'. After pressing enter, you opened the 'Roaming' folder. Now go to the 'Technic'-folder and open 'Xempack' (You need to have Xempack installed first). In there you should find the "flan'-folder, drop the unzipped plugin in there and it's done. If you want to use the plugins on the server, drop the same unzipped file in the 'flan'-folder, located in the Xempack server. Keep in mind, that all the people, playing on the server need to have the plugin installed as well, otherwise they won't be able to join. Should you have any problems installing plugins for Flan's mod into the Modpack, or the Modpack's Server, contact me, not jamioflan. The 'Simple parts Pack' and the 'Modern Weapons pack' are already included.
