Ultra Modded-Survival is a recreation of the pack CaptainSparklez uses in his new series of the same name. Along with including all the mods CaptainSparklez uses, performance and GUI enhancing ones like Optifine and Voxel Menu have been added for a better client experience! From OreSpawn and TropiCraft to IC2 and GalactiCraft this is a varied and crazy modpack full of content. Haven't seen the series yet? Click here to tune in. There's now a WIP Sphax texture pack for Ultra Modded-Survival, which you can download here (some textures for mods like OreSpawn aren't done yet).
1. Download the Technic Launcher if you haven't already from here for your platform.
2. Run the Technic Launcher and log in with your Mojang account (what you use to log into Minecraft) if it's your first time loading.
3. Click the gear in the top right corner of the launcher and select 2 GB or more of memory, you'll need it to run the pack (if there isn't an option greater than 1 GB than you don't have 64 bit Java, which probably means you don't have a 64 bit computer and can't run the pack, so try the Lite version here)
4. Copy this URL: http://www.technicpack.net/api/modpack/ultra-modded-survival-pack
5. Click "Add New Pack" (the icon in the modpack selector area) and hit "Paste"
6. Click the "Add Modpack" button, and scroll to it in the modpack selector area, then hit "PLAY" and the modpack will begin downloading and loading!
7. Be patient and wait for the loading screen, this is a big pack so you'll need a decent computer to run it, if it says "Not Responding" just ignore and wait it out until it gets to the start screen.
8. Have fun!

Whenever I try to launch it closes and sends me back to the launcher! What do I do?
Navigate to the modpack directory (Windows: %appdata% .technic/modpacks/ultra-modded-survival-pack Mac: Go to Library Application Support/technic/modpacks/ultra-modded-survival-pack/crash-reports). Find the latest crash report (or only one) and open it up with Notepad (TextEdit on mac). Select all the text, then copy and paste at pastebin.com and submit, then provide the link under the "Crash Reports" section of this website.
The pack never loads or it crashes when I try to load!, what do I do?
Go into your Technic Launcher settings by clicking the gear in the top right corner of the launcher, and allocate 2 GB of RAM or more to the launcher (If you don't see any more options than 1 GB, you don't have a 64 bit OS and/or 64 bit java, try installing 64 bit java, if you don't have a 64 bit OS then you're out of luck)
Whenever I break a block mob textures go over my screen and I can't see anything! What do I do?
This happens on certain video cards and drivers, go into technic/modpacks/ultra-modded-survival-mods and remove Mob Dismemberment from the mods folder.
I can't hear anything except the wind, what's wrong?
Try pressing F3+S to reload your sounds and make sure music and sound aren't at 0%. The Technic Launcher downloads sounds as you play so depending on your Internet connection sounds may not download for some time, so wait or copy sound files from another modpack you have.
I can't fly when I'm a morph that can fly! WHY?
Just like in CaptainSparklez's series, this pack is configured so that you have to go the Nether first before your flying morphs work.
I don't like the mod (insert random mod here)! Remove it now!
You can remove any mod yourself by going to the modpack directory (Windows: %appdata% .technic/modpacks/ultra-modded-survival-pack Mac: Go to Library Application Support/technic/modpacks/ultra-modded-survival-pack) and deleting it from the mods folder, however please don't come to me for help if you can't connect to servers or the game crashes when you remove a mod.
Please add the mod (insert mod name here)! I really want it!
If the mod happens to be in the series and isn't in the pack yet then you can bet that I'm probably working on adding it in an update. If CaptainSparklez's isn't using it, I'm not adding random mods to weigh down the modpack for everyone else. It says "failed to download", what do I do?!
This is a very popular modpack and is downloaded a lot, so the host may be getting overloaded or Technic's connection to you is not very good. Try again later. Also the link may be broken, but you can be sure I will be aware of this and fix it as soon as possible.

These add-ons for BiblioCraft will allow the player to craft 8 of the wooden BiblioCraft blocks in the different woods provided by said mod. IC2 addon pads that you can power and stand on to charge up held and/or worn electric equipment (that use EU to power them).

EnderStorage is a mod that offers a means to store your items in The END, causing them to be everywhere and nowhere at the same time. All EnderStorage makes use of the magic of colors to link storage with its little piece of The END. Any EnderStorage with the same color code share inventory (even across dimensions). Currently there are two types of storage, EnderChest and EnderPouch.
Equivalency is an addon for Equivalent Exchange 3 that adds more transmutation recipes for the mod. It also adds support for several mods that are usually used along side EE3, such as Industrial Craft 2 and Forestry.

Extra Cells is an addon mod for the popular Applied Energistics mod, created by Leonelf. Applied Energistics adds a complex storage network system to the game, allowing players to store items, automate crafting processes and much more. The Extra Cells mods seeks to supplement Applied Energistics in areas where it is still lacking a few useful features, such as fluid storage, considerably larger storage drives and backup batteries as a form of uninterruptable power supply.

This mod adds minimalist parts for expanding vanilla redstone automation, along with many other things.
Flans Mod and some addons included depending on the modpack.
In short: you can use a normal sign (item) and place it on the underside of blocks or, if you sneak-click on the floor, it'll be flat like a doormat (as opposed to normal clicking and it being a sign-on-a-stick). Signs face in such a way so that you can read it from the direction you placed it.
If there is one task in Minecraft I loathe, it is farming trees. Using BuildCraft I found myself building quite a few tree farms to get enough charcoal for my steam engines. And even with TehKrush's "Timber!" I found myself bored with farming trees. However I did not find a way to truly automate tree farming. So I looked at a few modding tutorials and built my own tree farm equipment. The result is this mod. I hope a few people might find some use for it. And who does not love a good production chain with BuildCraft pipes. The goal of this mod is to automate tree farming as much as possible without becoming entirely overpowered. Full automation can currently only be achieved if the mod is used in conjunction with BuildCraft.

Natura is a mod that aims to spice up the world with interesting worldgen. With a few small additions, hunger no longer has to be about hunting animals early game. The mod is mostly intuitive; everything should be sensible or explained in-game.
NEI is a successor to both Too Many Items and Recipe Book. It arose around the same time as Craft Guide when Alexandria and a few others on the IRC suggested that I merge both Too Many Items and Recipe Book to remove their greatest flaws, ironically too many items, or in the case of recipe book, too many recipies. Too Many Items was great, but the one thing it lacked was an easy way to search and sort your items. When you had a mod like Red Power coming along with 10000 items both TMI and Recipe Book were racking up the pages. Even if you don't want to use NEI for cheating in items, you will likely feel right at home with the Recipe component of the mod.

Ores in the Nether! Coal, diamond, gold, iron, lapis, redstone, tin, copper, emerald, silver, lead, uranium, and nikolite. Non-vanilla ores only spawn if a mod that uses them exists. All nether ores turn into their surface counterparts in a furnace - some (like redstone or coal) may need to be smacked with a pick or macerated to be made useful.
This mod is an optional client-side mod that'll allow users to listen to mp3 and aac streams from the OpenBlocks radio. Don't worry - if the user doesn't have this mod installed, they simpily won't hear the stream.
A dependency for Modular Powersuits.
New pressure plates made from blocks of obsidian (that only work when players step on them) or mossy cobble (that only work when NPCs step on them). You can craft one of these over a block of wool to make silent versions (that don't make clicking sounds). You can craft any of those four variants in the middle of alternating nether quartz and glowstone dust to make shrouded (see-through) versions. Smelting a silent or hidden plate will return a noisy, visible one.
OpenBlocks introduces a range of random ideas into minecraft. There is no theme. Some of it is rather silly!

This mod adds a new death animation. Mobs die, their bodies wrecked, and souls shattered, they just seem to fade away. Weee~~~
Soul Shards allows you to create a Soul Shard that absorbs the souls of monsters you kill to be inserted into a Soul Cage later. This Soul Cage is a special block that can spawn the type of mob your Soul Shard contains. This mod's cages can spawn monsters you can't normally get with vanilla spawners.

Steve's Carts 2 introduces a modular system where you can build a huge amount of carts(hundreds of millions) by combining the parts you want. And yes, it's now for multiplayer.
This mod leaves a trail of different flavours following players around as they move, fading away over time.
Switches inspired by SethBling's Bite-Sized Minecraft episodes (Ep.1 & Ep.2). Switches are placed and respond just like vanilla levers. Piston extensions click switches face-on and flip levers away (or pull levers back, if a sticky piston retracts).
This mod provides clones, or as we like to call it, “shells”. These shells are basically a new individual, with their own inventory, experience level, and even gamemode.
Tinkers' Construct is a mod about putting tools together in a wide variety of ways, then modifying them until they turn into something else. The tools never disappear and can be named and changed to your heart's desire. Once you make them, they're yours forever. Any world generation included in the mod is more efficient, but not required to progress.
This mod adds 2 items to the game : TelePads and a Register of TelePadLocations. TelePads can be used to teleport to any of your registered TelePads.
Thaumaturgy is the capability of a magician to work miracles. A practitioner of thaumaturgy is a thaumaturge, thaumaturgist or miracle worker. This is what this mod is all about - drawing magic from physical objects in the form of Essentia and reshaping it to perform miracles.
Tinkerer is a spiritual successor to Vazkii's Elemental Tinkerer mod, this is a mod about tinkering with thaumic creations. It;s an addon to azanor;s Thaumcraft 4. The intention is to add new, and useful items you can create, using the knowledge you've acquired from the vanilla thaumcraft researches. Researches that come from this mod are prefixed as [TT] for easy labelling.

The mods in this pack were chosen by CaptainSparklez, though this pack was assembled by me from the exact mod list in the description of his videos. However, all credit goes to neither Jordan or me but to the modders who made this possible. Also because of Mojang's new EULA mod permissions are now essentially obsolete. If you're willingly modding a pre existing game please understand that anyone has the right to use it!
