MaganCraft Version 1.0

created by brownlee123 on Minecraft 1.7.2

MaganCraft is a no-nonsense (well, maybe a little...) ModPack designed to run smoothly, run well, and deliver the best Minecraft Experience possible.

Hate using only one-fifth of the all mods in a certain modpack? MaganCraft gives you a wide variety of mods, but only the ones you need, and none of what you don't. This allows MaganCraft to run well and be loads of fun in just 20 amazing mods.

So let's get down to business; here's a list of Mods currently used in MaganCraft, each with a short description. You may recognize a few, you may not, but rest assured, they have all been hand-picked to give you the best Minecraft experience possible.

Optifine - Optifine was looked upon as a necessity for MaganCraft, because what good is a super-cool ModPack if it lags so bad it's unplayable?

Soulkeeper - a newer mod, Soulkeeper adds a rare occurence to Minecraft: small underground ponds and lakes, where the Soulkeeper plants grow. Harvest one correctly, and you shall reap the rewards...

AbyssalCraft - AbyssalCraft is a fantastic mod which adds a new Overworld biome, and a new Dimension, full of harder mobs, three new bosses, and tons of epic loot!

Better Foliage - Better Foliage adds new, beautiful depth to the game. Giving leaves rougher textures and making grass...well, just generally better (among other things), Better Foliage simply makes Minecraft look and seem a lot...cooler.

Natura - Meant to be a companion to Tinker's Construct, Natura definitely stands tall as a stand-alone, too. Adding beautiful trees, bushes, and small plants, Natura is best summed up by this lone from it's forum page: There's just a little bit more to the world, without making it busy.

Biomes O Plenty - A very well-known mod, Biomes O Plenty adds "Over 75 new biomes, plants, and more!" It truly delivers on it's promise, and it was added because of it's adaptability and excellent job in granting all your biome-y wishes.

DungeonPack - The DungeonPack is exactly what it sounds like: A mod that adds a whole Pack of dungeons (24 to be exact), 3 new bosses, and 2 new, awesome types of NPC villages. Unlike other dungeon mods, this one is optimal as it adds many new kinds with different loot, while preserving the magical-ness of finding them, instead of a new dungeon every ten feet.

Infernal Mobs - The Infernal Mobs mod is another well-known one, but for those of you who don't know, Infernal Mobs gives each hostile mob a small chance to spawn with insane powers, making them much, much harder to defeat, whilst also giving them much, much better loot, and a specialized name and health bar.

Twilight Forest - This mod adds a whole new Dimension, known as the Twilight Forest. Within this ever-dark forest lie new mobs, new loot, new trees, new plants...Basically, this mad adds a whole new realm to Minecraft. Oh, and did I mention the 19 new dungeons, found exclusively within the Forest?

MapWriter - MapWriter solves the age-old problem of wandering around, attempting to find a familiar land mark to even have a clue of remembering where you are once you end up getting lost. With this mob, you can add waypoints, see a minimap, even get a full-screen World Map with the touch of a button.

NotEnoughItems - NEI (NotEnoughItems) adds an easy-to-use GUI to the game, allowing you to easily manuever through all the items added by these mods, and also allowing you to view Recipes and Usage with it's latest features. You'll never have to look up a recipe again!

Adventurer's Amulets - Adventurer's Amulets adds a whole new element to gear: Adding four new armor slots for Pendants, Belts, and Rings, you can do anything from taking no Fall Damage to teleporting around the world at will.

BackPacks - The BackPacks mod adds one nearly essential item to Minecraft: Backpacks! Ever run out of room, collecting loot, mining, or even punching trees? No more! Backpacks give you entire chest-sized inventories, whilst taking up only 1 of your personal inventory spots! Add in the Big BackPacks, Ender BackPacks, even Workbench BackPacks, and you basically have a whole house moving with only two or three backpacks!

Witchery - Ah, Witchery...Where to start? Witchery is the quintessential magic mod, adding so much useful stuff, I couldn't fit it all on here if I tried! From Familiars (animal pets with magic abilities) to Circle Rituals (doing everything from exploding volcanoes to cooking food), from Poppets (voodoo dolls) to Dream Catchers, Witchery has it all! Don't know where to start with this one? Head over to the Witchery Wiki's "Getting Started Guide" to, what else, get started.

Metallurgy - And last, but certainly not least, is Metallurgy. Metallurgy adds tons of new metal ores, waiting for you to mine them! Find them in the Overworld, find them in the Nether, even the End now has new ores! Smelt 'em and make super-durable tools, super-powerful tools, or both! Or you can alloy them together, creating an even more powerful metal, allowing your tools to become the very best, like no tool ever was.

As you can clearly see, MaganCraft has some amazing mods. Taking into account everything from massive dimensions to the tiniest aesthetic details, MaganCraft can give you all you want in a ModPack, and nothing you don't. Go ahead and plug MaganCraft into your Technic Launcher, see how you like it!

Wondering where to start? When first playing, no matter what modpack, it's good to start with one mod, and after getting acquainted with it, begin another. Then, when you've decided you've just about mastered every aspect of every mod, begin to get to the Dimensions, go ahead and beat the Ender Dragon (if you've got all the new loot, it shouldn't be too hard...) Then work on the newer bosses, and keep milking all the excitement and joy out of MaganCraft,

Or not. It's your game, not mine!

If I didn't name a CoreMod above, it's because the author of that CoreMod is the same as the author of it's corresponding mod.

Problems with the Pack? Concerned about something I don't know? Have a great suggestion you're dying to share? Or do you just want to say hi? Let me know in the "Discussion" tab, or PM me on minecraftforum.net (I'm brownlee123)!
