Mojang account migration: last call

Starting March 10, you'll need a Microsoft account to play Minecraft Java Edition, so you should start migrating your Mojang account to a Microsoft one if you haven't already. How do you do that? Login with your Mojang account at , click the "Move my account" button in the giant banner that shows up and follow the instructions.

ConcurrentModificationException in Java 1.8.0_20

This is a warning that a few days ago, a Java update versioned 1.8.0_20 was released, which currently makes it impossible to play modded Minecraft.  The release fixed a Java bug which was hiding a bug in Forge Modloader- users with this new version of java will now receive a ConcurrentModificationException when trying to load modpacks in Minecraft 1.6+.

Forge is currently working to correct this issue, but in the meantime, we advise that you do not update your Java version to 1.8.0_20.  We instead recommend that you use one of the following versions:

Java 1.7.0_67- we highly recommend that you downgrade to this version, because it is security complete: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk7-downloads-1880260.html

Java 1.8.0_11- if you need to stay on java 1.8, this is the latest version without the listed issue.  Again, there may be security updates in 1.8.0_20 not present in this version, so please use with care:  http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-archive-javase8-2177648.html

You Should Change Your Minecraft Password

Hello, please take a moment to read the following:  https://mojang.com/2014/04/heartbleed/

Technic does not use HTTPS for logins (not something we're particularly proud of, I promise), so technically your Platform login would not have been exposed.  If you share this password with any other service, especially your email, though, you should change it anyway.  And of course, please be sure to change your Mojang password and passwords for basically every other service you use.  It is possible that someone, somewhere, knew about this bug before it was announced and could have used it to collect information on your credentials at some point, from any service that uses SSL, which is almost every service on the internet.

Please be safe out there, everyone.

All Your Servers Are On Fire!

Hello!  In case you haven't noticed, many servers are currently down and crashing!  This is a result of a bug in Spigot (which was adopted by MCPC+) which caused server ticks to go negative and break a lot of stuff a little while ago.  This has been fixed by MCPC+ already, so if your server host has not already provided an updated server, please use this one:  http://ci.md-5.net/job/MCPC-Plus-164/

Neither we nor Mojang have anything to do with this issue, nor can we help aside from pointing you to the right place, but we hope all your servers find their way back to working condition soon!  Best of luck!
